Session Structure
-
Standard session length: 50 minutes
-
Format options: In-person (Calgary & Chestermere) or virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform

-
Session frequency: Weekly, biweekly, or flexible — we’ll find a pace that works for you
Sessions are flexible and adapted to each person's needs, but here's a general breakdown:
-
Children: sessions are typically 50 minutes, with about 35–40 minutes spent directly with the child and 10–15 minutes reserved for debriefing with caregivers. This allows space to build a trusting relationship with the child while keeping parents informed and supported.
-
Teens: usually seen independently for most of the session, with optional check-ins or debriefs depending on age, consent, and comfort level. Family involvement is flexible and can be adjusted as therapy progresses.
-
Adults: sessions are collaborative and client-led. The full 50 minutes is typically dedicated to direct support, though coordination with partners, family members, or other providers can be built in when consented to.

Accessibility Considerations - Cancellations
Advance notice is always encouraged as it helps keep care accessible for everyone. That said, we also recognize that disability, neurodivergence, and caregiving responsibilities can sometimes make this difficult. Clients are invited to discuss this policy during intake to explore any additional supports or adjustments that might be helpful.
